As avid fans of Indie Rock and music discovery, we always like to share our personal favorites with Groovebug users. This week’s feature showcases indie rockers who inspired our love of the entire genre. Some of our favorites, such as Arcade Fire and Bon Iver, have received more mainstream success with their recent Grammy wins (although tumblrs like “Who is Bonny Bear” make us realize they clearly haven’t become THAT mainstream.)

This feature pays homage to bands like Modest Mouse, Rilo Kiley, Sufjan Stevens, and Devendra Banhart who comprised days upon days (maybe weeks or months) of our iTunes music consumption. Even though many of their best albums came out almost 10 years a go, the music is still relatable and relevant.
