New Groovebug Feature: Dead Sara
As a fan of most female fronted rock bands, Dead Sara is no exception. Singer Emily Armstrong and guitarist Siouxsie Medley front Los Angeles based Dead Sara and create an eclectic mix of rock, blues, folk and metal. At first glance, you may not expect the wailing vocals that come out of Armstrong’s mouth, but she is equally adept at toning it down and working a folksy melody.
Dead Sara’s primal and raw sound is a refreshing change from much of the over-processed, over auto-tuned music out there.
Dead Sara can be seen all this summer playing with Chevelle, The Used and on Van’s Warped Tour.
